"Rapa das Bestas de Gagán" (Shaving of the Horses)
Marín has its own “Rapa das Bestas” (Shaving of the Horses). Any brave person can participate in this festival as an “aloitador” (fighter), who will be in charge of grouping the animals to bring them down to the pen, where they cut the horses’ manes as a form of deworming. During the weekend there are also concerts, livestock prize draws and traditional games for all ages.
