Mámoas del Lago Castiñeiras (burial mounds)

The series of burial mounds known as Mámoas del Lago Castiñeiras is one of the most important in Galicia. Located near Cotorredondo Park, on the border between the municipal districts of Vilaboa and Marín, it is part of the Terras de Pontevedra rock art ensemble.
These funerary structures, built during the Neolithic and Chalcolithic periods, are typical of the European Atlantic strip. Among them is the Mámoa do Rei, an impressive dolmen due to its large dimensions and good state of conservation.
