Church of Santo Tomé de Piñeiro

Belonging to the Order of Malta, it stands on the site of an old church from the twelfth century. The current floor plan is Romanesque in design with a pentagonal apse, which is its most distinctive element. The families of Montenegro, Sarmiento and Valladares had an important presence here, as highlighted by the heraldry in the altarpiece of Portuguese influence. It is one of the most unique religious monuments in Marín.
