Church of San Diego
The Chapel of San Diego, located in O Pereiro, has 313 years of history. It was opened on October 9, 1709, as a donation from local residents Benito Loira and his wife María Piñeiro. With the passage of time, it fell into disuse and came to be practically in ruins, until the locals themselves promoted its recovery.
Thanks to their efforts, the chapel is now in good condition and retains its heritage value. Every year it becomes active again with the celebration of its patron saint’s day in May. In addition, it is located in a privileged area of Marín, from which you can enjoy spectacular views of the estuary.
